The Inventor's Secret by Andrea Cremer REVIEW

Summary:

Charlotte has lived on the edge of Britain's industrial empire, hiding deep in the Catacombs, ever since she can remember. She and her fellow refugees are preparing for the day when they can join the Resistance and fight against the crown. But when an exile with no memory seeks shelter in their camp, he brings with him new dangers and secrets about the terrible future that awaits them all.
His presence compels them to leave the safety of the Catacombs to seek answers in Britannia's exquisite Floating City. But Charlotte find more than just answers there, and navigating a world of high society and political intrigue turns out to be more treacherous than the revolution itself.

My Thoughts:

I love steampunk. Not just the fashion, but also the books, which is why i picked this book up. (i someday hope to be able to make a steampunk costume, too).
Anyway, this book was pretty good and very interesting. i know there is a sequel, but is it a series? i don't know. i would definitely read it, though.
Some downsides of this book are:
-some things are not explained (hopefully the sequel will explain them)
-for some reason, THE BOOK LEFT OFF ON A CLIFFHANGER. not necessarily bad, but i hate waiting until i get my hands on the next book.

My Rating: 4 stars
